Privacy Policy - Last modified: November 28, 2011

At Road Hero, we recognize that privacy is important. The Road Hero service, which may be provided to you through our mobile applications, website or other products or services, is designed to lift the veil of anonymity on aggressive and dangerous driving behavior by associating user reported behavior with vehicle license plates to create a publicly-available, online database. This information may be used by law enforcement agencies, insurance companies or other entities for whom this data is valuable as part of their business. We wish to emphasize, however, that the service is designed to allow the person reporting the bad driving behavior to remain anonymous, and you are not required to register or submit any personally identifiable information in order to report bad driving behavior through the service.

We have created this Privacy Policy to inform you of how we collect, use and disclose your personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy covers all of Road Hero but does not, however, apply to entities that Road Hero does not own or control, websites, products or services not offered by us or to people that Road Hero does not employ or manage. Where additional information is needed to explain our privacy practices with respect to a portion of Road Hero, we may post supplementary privacy notices to describe how we process personally identifiable information with respect to that part of Road Hero. Road Hero may process personally identifiable information on servers in the United States and in other countries. In some cases, we may process personal information on a server outside your own country. By using Road Hero, you consent to having your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States and in other countries.

You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Road Hero or its assets may continue to use your personally identifiable information in the ways described in this Privacy Policy. You hereby consent to Road Hero sharing your personally identifiable information under the above circumstances. Information that you post or submit when flagging a license plate or in other Road Hero community activities is public information, not covered by this Privacy Policy, and may be used by or shared with third parties such as law enforcement agencies or insurance companies. Other user information from which we have removed personally identifiable information, for example by summarizing, aggregating, or removing certain data elements, will not be considered personally identifiable information and may be published and provided to various third parties.
